Gorgeous Floral Wedding Ideas with a Surprise Proposal During COVID-19
I have all the romance today folks. I am over the moon to be sharing this stunning floral filled editorial shoot held at Sheffield Manor Lodge wedding venue. These stunning images and films have been sent over by Fly On The Wall Photography and Keeley Wedding Films. I am sure you will agree they are simply gorgeous.
Let’s start with the surprise proposal between real life couple Georgina and Richard shall we? They were the model bride and groom on the day, which turned out to be the perfect proposal setting. Richard even managed to plan the proposal to take place despite the COVID-19 pandemic too. It was so sweet.
Onto the pretty inspiration provided by the talented team today. There were lush purple and orange flowers, divine wildflower stationery, a petal cake and stunning tablescape. Bride to be Georgina looked amazing in her lacy gown teamed with a beautiful hair and make up look. Just you wait and see, you are going to adore it all.
This shoot was an absolute dream from start to finish! Adele from Fly on the Wall Photography and all of the other wonderful suppliers made me and my partner, Richard, feel so comfortable and at ease. It didn’t feel awkward with static poses or forced smiles; all of the moments were natural and just seemed to have an easy flow. The dress had stunning lace details and the flowers gave a beautiful pop of colour to the shots. Mazz, who did my hair, was so nice to natter to and who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle to their outfit! All of the suppliers on this shoot were so welcoming and bubbly so it felt like a day hanging out with friends rather than a modelling photoshoot!
Plus, as you can see from the amazing photos, I got an unbelievable surprise at the end of the session! I’ve been with Richard for over eight years and we’ve always known we would get married. However, factors such as my health always seemed to get in the way. I was thrilled with my surprise proposal and Richard even managed to plan it during COVID-19! Thank you to everyone involved; I have no idea how you kept it a secret!
I appreciate everything all of you did for us. It’s a treasured memory we’ll never forget.
Georgina and Richard xx

I love to capture natural unposed images, that are representative of your day as it unfolds. I love people watching and a relaxed vibe. The photos were made so elegant by the lovely venue design. Both the florist and stylist worked so well to truly bring the outside in and he flower arch was a lovely touch. It was a beautiful frame for these two lovebirds.

Sheffield Manor Lodge is a unique historic and barn venue with flower filled gardens. We offer stunning spaces with a casual and relaxed DIY approach where you can truly make your wedding your own. As a DIY venue to work with so many talented suppliers was a joy. Seeing them create beautiful moments with our rustic barn and wildflower meadows as their backdrop was truly inspiring.
Venue – Sheffield Manor Lodge
I am a florist based in Sheffield. I specialise in bespoke floral designs with a natural look. I love modern floristry; it is uninhibited and embraces the imperfections that nature produces. I love wonky stems and quirky flowers it all enhances their natural style. It was fab working on this shoot; using locally sourced flowers to meet the wildflower wedding brief.
Using seasonal flowers is very close to my heart not just from an eco-perspective but also to work with local growers and support other local businesses. That aside… the quality of the flowers are fabulous and the scent heavenly!
Florist – Meadows and Mulberry Weddings
At Wildwood Paper, an independent design studio based in Sheffield, I design wedding stationery and botanical paper goods inspired by the wild beauty in nature, so I was absolutely thrilled to get involved with this beautiful styled shoot at a favourite venue on my doorstep that is surrounded by wild flowers.
Using the colour palette of both the mood board and the flowers at Manor Lodge, I created invitations with RSVP’s and printed envelopes and stationery for the table including menus, place settings and table numbers, which all make up a new ready to order collection, Aster. Everything came together beautifully on the day; Aster complemented the flowers from Meadows & Mulberry perfectly and everything felt right at home at Manor Lodge. Plus, we were lucky to have a pro dream team working together and the results of the day are stunning!

Georgina had really lovely hair for me to work with. I wanted to create lots of long flowy texture without the hairstyle taking over from the other aspects of the shoot, so I created a relaxed, long, twisted boho braid. We also added some glitter to Georgina’s hair, using colours that complemented the flowers and styling. Because Georgina’s hair is so dark, the glitter really helped to add definition to the texture and different ‘layers’ of the hairstyle.

I was so happy to be asked to be part of this wildflower wedding shoot, as I got the opportunity to work with some amazing edible florals to create the wedding cake. The end result was eye catching, bright, fresh and individual just as you would want a wedding cake to be and I also got to work with a fun group of suppliers who all do an amazing job. Great work guys!
Secret Cake Club emerged 10 years ago after a stressful time, to bring me a love for cake which is central to my life and a joy of making people happy. I now make bespoke luscious wedding cakes, working closely with couples to achieve their dreams, I also run a travelling vintage tearoom and epic cake stalls across the North and further afield. I once took a wedding cake to India! Recent changes has brought joy to new customers doorsteps, with delivered cakes and epic treats galore!

I created this dress from the beautiful mood board supplied. I was so honoured to be asked to take part in this shoot, I knew we would create some magic. When I found this fabric, I knew it would be perfect to not only match the theme but also the venue. I worked hard to create a zero-waste pattern for this dress, I’m pleased with how it turned out, no waste at all has gone to landfill. This dress is very easy to adapt to suit your style. It would coordinate with a laid back boho style or change the fabric and it would be perfect for a black-tie event.
